Tis the season…

The winter season is a great time for reflection. With our official ‘coming out’ and the new roaring 20s just around the corner, this couldn’t be a more fitting time for us to launch. It’s been a whirlwind of a journey since the summer of 2019 when I took on the challenge of turning my long standing blog into a lifestyle magazine (and accepting that I cannot be the Carrie Bradshaw of Soho)!

So it’s with the greatest of pleasure, much enthusiasm (plus a healthy dollop of blood, sweat and tears), that I welcome you to the 1st issue of My Soho Times magazine.

Editor’s Note | My Soho Times Autumn 2019 (pilot)

What started out in 2015 as a blog to document a collection of memoirs about living in Soho for over a decade – and general ramblings about life in the most dynamic corner of the world – has quickly turned into something much more EXCITING!

Soho is undoubtedly London’s most dynamic district, and as a resident living in this thriving area which uniquely attracts a diverse pool of people, I got thinking – why isn’t there a tangible directory of local businesses for consumers?

The Soho Girl | These colourful pictures from Batman Alley will make you want to visit São Paulo!

I’ve been to São Paulo twice before this trip, and I’ll let you into a little secret… It was my least favourite city in Brazil before now! It’s a business city, and prior to this trip I’d had no business here (so to speak) which probably explains my dis-attachment. On the plus side, you get to experience ‘real Brazilians’ without the tourism catch. And luckily for me, my best friend and his family are from this city so there’s always been a ‘homely’ element. The Soho Girl | 15yrs in Soho, that’s my WHY!

We’ve all got that one family member who’ll give you a run for your money with their opinions on something about you they can’t quite comprehend… Could be that new hairstyle, your fashion sense or a hobby. That family member for me, comes in the form of my Aunty B.
